Dhaka, Bangladesh; April 27, 2013; In this photograph, a man is placing his hand over my camera to indicate that he does not want to be photographed. The location is Karwan Slum near Dhaka, Bangladesh. Life is extremely difficult there, and people live in almost unbearable conditions. My intention was not just curiosity; I wanted to document the scene. However, another aspect of this photograph is whether visiting such places is ethical. This is a complex topic, so I will not go into details here.
