The slave trade monuments in west Africa
The vast majority of those who were enslaved and transported in the transatlantic slave trade were people from Central and West Africa, who had been sold by other West Africans to Western European slave traders. This gallery contains images from Fort Prinzenstein, The slave's road in Ouidah, and The Fort of São João Baptista de Ajudá related to the slave trade in West Africa. All images are available for royalty-free commercial or editorial licensing. Please check the “Licensing” page or contact me: pavel.gospodinov@me.com!
