People from Hunza Valley, Northern Pakistan

The images and videos in this gallery are for editorial use only. Hunza is a mountainous valley in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan. Hunza is situated in the extreme northern part of Kashmir, bordering with the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan and the Xinjiang region of China. In Hunza Valley, locals grow their own food and utilize fresh glacier water for drinking and bathing. The story of the Hunzakut (Hunza people) comes from the Hunzas themselves. They claim that they are the descendants of many of the soldiers from Alexander the Great's army when it came to India. All images are available for royalty-free commercial or editorial licensing.
