Tagong (also called Lhagang) meaning Buddha’s favorite place, is a famous Sakya (stripe hat) monastery, an important pilgrimage place in historical Kham region, known as little Jokhang Temple.

Langjiling Temple of Gongga, Eastern Tibet, Sichuan, China; 8 August 2019; Gongga Langjiling Monastery is located in the southern part of Daocheng. It is 3,335 meters above sea level. In front of the temple is Red-soil River, and the back stands the Axi Mountain. The environment there is really pleasant. Built in Ming Chongzhen 15th years (1642 AD), the Monastery has more than 300 monks living there. In the monastery, there is a precious Buddha which has a long history of over 300 years.

Chong Gu Monastery, Yading, Eastern Tibet, Sichuan, China; 7 August 2019; Chong Gu Monastery (4000 meters) is nearly 800 years old and sits at the base of Mt. Chenresig’s north face. Mt. Chenresig. This is the highest mountain in the Yading reserve rising to 6032 meters. The views of Chenresig from Chong Gu Monastery on a clear day are superb.
