The Wazir Khan Mosque, Lahore, Pakistan; December 2, 2019; The Wazir Khan Mosque is 17th century mosque located in the city of Lahore. The mosque is part of an ensemble of buildings that also included the nearby Shahi Hammam baths. Considered to be the most ornately decorated Mughal-era mosque, Wazir Khan Mosque is renowned for its intricate faience tile work known as kashi-kari, as well as its interior surfaces that are almost entirely embellished with elaborate Mughal-era frescoes.
Takht-i-Bahi, Mardan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan; December 4, 2019; Takht-i-Bahi is considered among the most imposing relics of Buddhism in all of Gandhara. It has been exceptionally well-preserved. The Buddhist monastery was founded in the 1st century CE, and was in use until the 7th century. The complex is regarded by archaeologists as being particularly representative of the architecture of Buddhist monastic centres from its era. It is UNESCO World Heritage Site.
